Nicholas has a degree in Mathematics (Univ. of Athens) and also a Ph.D. in Computer Science (Univ. of Glasgow, UK).

Now is retired from work, and spends his time between Athens and his native island of Andros.

He was Director General of the Ministry for Development, Full Member of the Trade Policy Committee of the European Union and also Chairman of the High Level Group for Growth and Competitiveness of the European Union.
